As we all known, for LED manufacturing (like bulbs, lamps, tubes etc.), different parts need different machines and different solutions.
Now let me briefly introduce what ETA can do for LED production. There are two solutions, one is for LEDs, the other is for LED drivers.
1.          For LEDs producing, needs SMT solution, which consists of stencil printer, chip mounter, reflow oven and conveyors? First, use stencil printer to print solder paste onto LED board; second, use pick and place machine to place LED chips into the solder pot on the LED board; third, use reflow oven to heat the board and make the chips fixed on it. And between the machines, might need 2 conveyors to link the machines. Also, if for fully automatic line, might need loader for loading boards before stencil printer, and unloader for storing boards after reflow oven. 2.          For LED drivers manufacturing, needs DIP solution, which consists of insertion line, wave loader, wave soldering machine, wave unloader and welding line. After inserting the components into the boards by manual, through wave loader, the boards will automatically go into wave soldering machine to heat and weld and fix the components into the boards with solder paste and flux, then pass by wave unloaded to the welding line for testing, packaging or others. Working Principle of JUKI Chip Shooter

Pick and place machine, also known as  mounting machine, Surface Mount System (Surface Mount System), in the production line, it is placed in the dispensing machine or screen printing machine, the surface mount components by moving the placement head Accurately place a device on the PCB pad, Divided into manual and fully automatic. The automatic placement machine is used to realize high-speed, high-precision automatic placement of components, and is the most critical and complex equipment in the entire SMT production. The placement machine is the main equipment in the SMT production line. The JUKI Pick and Place Machine have evolved from an early low-speed mechanical placement machine to a high-speed optical centering placement machine, and have evolved into a modular and flexible connection.
Working principle of JUKI picks and place machine
The JUKI Pick and Place Machine is actually a sophisticated industrial robot, a combination of machine-electric-optical and computer control technology. It achieves the fast and accurate placement of SMC/SMD components to the pad locations specified by the PCB without damaging components and printed circuit boards by means of suction-displacement-positioning-placement. There are three ways of mechanical alignment, laser alignment and visual alignment. The placement machine consists of a frame, an xy motion mechanism (ball screw, linear guide, drive motor), a placement head, a component feeder, a PCB carrier mechanism, a device centering detection device, and a computer control system. The motion is mainly realized by the xy motion mechanism, which transmits power through the ball screw and realizes the directional motion by the rolling linear guide motion pair. Such a transmission form not only has its own small motion resistance, is compact in structure, but also has high motion precision. The placement accuracy of each component is guaranteed.
The JUKI Pick and Place Machine perform Mark marking on important components such as the mounting spindle, the moving/static lens, the nozzle holder, and the feeder. Machine vision can automatically find the coordinates of these Mark center systems, establish the conversion relationship between the system coordinate system of the placement machine and the coordinate system of the PCB and the mounted components, and calculate the precise coordinate of the movement of the placement machine; the placement head is based on the imported The package type, component number and other parameters of the mounting component are taken to the corresponding position to grab the nozzle and the suction component; the static lens detects, identifies and centers the suction component according to the visual processing procedure; after the alignment is completed, the placement head sticks the component Loaded into a predetermined location on the PCB. The actions of the series of component identification, alignment, detection and placement are all automatically completed by the instruction control system after the industrial computer acquires relevant data according to the corresponding instructions.
